Seasonal program providing children (infants-13years) of low income families with gifts during November and December.

Call for information: will begin taking calls on Intake line on November 19th. Phone number will not be connected until that date. Hold times can be lengthy, please be patient. ID and proof of address needed.
Low-income families with children infants-13 years of age. This program participates in the HANDS database, which tracks families who have applied to other programs. Families who have applied for toys elsewhere are not eligible to apply to Portland Toy and Joy. Okay to apply to other programs for food.

Providing Thanksgiving and Christmas food boxes this holiday season.
Christmas requests on Dec. 1, 2012. You may register at the website at any time by going to www.metrocofc.org and clicking on the Benevolence link.
All messages left on the voice mail prior to the official opening date may be erased. No Toys are available this year. Register at the website or call the designated hotline for Appointment day and time. Please DO NOT call the church's phone number to request a box.
Church is accepting requests ONLY from people whose permanent residence is in far East County, specifically for these zip codes ONLY: 97230, 97233, 97236, 97024, 97030, 97060, or 97080. Eligible callers may receive help from Metro on one holiday only.
All applicants must have an appointment and be able to pick up their box at the church. Deliveries will be limited to handicapped or seniors with disabilities that keep them from driving.

The church requires proof that the applicant's current address is in their service area. Proof can be a drivers' license, photo ID, or a bill with the current address and applicant's name on it.

Will provide Christmas food boxes for families in need, with toys included for children ages 0-12.
Apply in person at 5325 N. Williams Ave
Must live within service area. Salvation Army participates in a clearinghouse database to prevent duplication of services by different agencies for the same family.
From 9am-1pm at 5325 N. Williams Ave., Portland:
Nov. 8; Nov. 15; Nov. 29; Dec. 1; Dec. 6
Distribution Day will be Saturday, Dec. 22nd. When people sign up, they will be given information on a specific time to return to pick up toys and food.
Must bring proof of address showing residence within zip code service area, and picture ID for applicant. Must bring some form of ID for each member of the household that includes a date of birth. Examples: Social Security card, birth certificate, medical card, school ID, report card, etc.
Must also bring 30 days proof of income and be below poverty guidelines.

Radio Cab Foundation's Turkey Project will again be delivering Christmas turkeys with all the fixings to people in need living in Greater Portland.
Delivery will start on December 15th or you can pick up your box on December 22nd
Beginning November 22nd, people may go to the Radio Cab Foundation website and write a short letter online (or send snail mail letter at address provided) writing about a family they know who is in need this Christmas.
