Smiling People Make More Money.

This is a repost from Alan Sklover.

Smiling People Make More Money.
Yes, that is what I said.
Sure, earning more money would seem to make people smile more, right? Actually, a recent study suggests it is the other way around: smiling people earn more than scowlers.
Researchers from the London School of Economics and the University of Warwick drew on data developed over 14 years of studying over 10,000 American employees to come to their conclusion: happiness is not only a result of higher income; instead, it also helps generate it.
As the lead researcher said, “The takeaway of this is the relationship between income and happiness runs in both directions.”
In fact, being “very happy” leads to 10% higher income, while being “very unhappy” leads to a 30% lower income.
So, all you worriers and meanies: Lighten up!
And to you carefree and joyful souls: Keep it up!
And to the rest of us, who generally fall in the middle: The attitude of Gratitude, and having hope, faith and dreams, will surely get you where you want to go.
Just Smile On!!!

Bank of America

Bank of America also appears to have a high number of positions posted this week.  Perhaps, it is because of the new year?

Start here, and follow it out.  I realize it mixes locations up at times and I have no idea how to get around that.

The other place to look is America's Job Exchange.

Did you know Merrill Lynch Advisor Program is listed as a part of B of A? It was news to me but not shocking following the reorganization of banking since 2008.

Good luck with your job search!

It appears Albertina Kerr has a lot of current openings.  Because they operate from so many sites and have a diversity of services for both children and adults, they also have a very wide diversity of employment opportunities.

The next link will take you directly to the Albertina Kerr employment site.  It was not working when I tried it a few minutes ago but it typically is functional.

This is directly from their site:

Add 1 Job Continues

Even though KATU ran their series "Add 1 Job" as a public service last year, the posting of jobs continues.  They are maintaining this as a public service and I commend them for their efforts.  Via this service, over 300 people were able to attain employment last year.

I audited the old postings recently, and it appears they have had postings from over 200 employers, many of whom are small businesses. Veterans may see greater success by seeking smaller employers because of incentives and training opportunities.

If you want assistance developing a potential relationship with an employer: please speak up!  The Veterans Team at Central City would love to assist you with your career quest.
