Volunteer with the Community Cycling Center - Help kids get bikes!
Help the nonprofit, Community Cycling Center, reach their goal of providing bikes to hundreds of children from low income families this year by cleaning and recycling donated kids' bikes. No mechanical experience needed!
Saturday, June 1st, 12:30-3:30pm, Northeast Portland
Mechanics will transform these shiny bikes and reclaimed parts into "new" bikes for kids ages 3-8, keeping useful parts from going into the landfill. By volunteering at the Community Cycling Center, your support will keep kids active, healthy, and connected with their friends, family and neighborhood.
We will be working outside of the bike shop, so please dress for the weather.
The Community Cycling Center, founded in 1994, is a non-profit that broadens access to bicycling and its benefits. Our vision is to build a vibrant community where people of all backgrounds use bicycles to stay healthy and connected.
*Volunteers must be at least 13 years of age.*
Register to volunteer now by visiting the Hands On Portland website.
